Each item from Pottery & Poetry undergoes a meticulous journey, passing through various skilled hands before a block of clay metamorphoses into a cherished piece of art. We carefully hand-build, dry, and retouch each product before subjecting it to the initial bisque firing in the kiln. Subsequently, we sand the piece to create a smooth surface, apply a hand-glazed finish, and fire it once more. Due to the handcrafted nature of our process, slight imperfections and variations in shape and size are likely to surface. However, we view these characteristics as unique attributes, not flaws, making each pot and plate distinctly one-of-a-kind, even within the same collection.

Our pieces are dishwasher and microwave safe, designed for daily use, and are 100% lead-free, crafted from regional materials.
