Before use, always anchor the candles in the candle holder by running a little wax into the candle holder. Before the wax solidifies, press the candle into the candle holder and hold it there for about 20 seconds.

Never leave burning candles unattended.

Every Pottery & Poetry item travels multiple times through a set of hands before a block of clay is transformed into a piece of art. We hand-built, dry and retouch each product carefully before it’s bisque fired in the kiln. Then we sand it to smooth the surface, hand-glaze and fire once again. In the manual process, some minor imperfections on the surface and variations of the shape and size may occur. We consider this a feature, not a bug though, because it makes every pot and plate one of a kind, even if they are part of the same collection.
